One Piece: The Return Of The Straw Hat Pirates, Explained

After many months, One Piece's story finally returns to Luffy and his Straw Hats.

Recently, One Piece is delivering one amazing chapter after another. This story is in its Final Saga, which means that Oda has a number of major plot lines to tie up. Oda has been focusing on the entire world of One Piece in the Final Saga.

Sabo has shown the fans a great deal of the Revolutionary Army. They have also seen a good amount of other Yonko who have fought against the Worst Generation. The World Government's top tiers have also been revealed, and the Marines are seen fighting Blackbeard. Oda has a lot on his plate right now, and in order to give all of this the attention it deserves, he had to take away some time from the straw hat cast. The fans have waited a very long time for their favorite cast Straw Hat Pirates to return. However, the wait is over now that Luffy and his gang are officially back in One Piece Chapter 1089.

Last Straw Hats Fans Seen

After Wano Country, the Straw Hat Pirates traveled to Egghead Island. After the group had descended the waterfalls in Wano, the Logpose was locked on Egghead Island, also known as "the island of the future". Fans immediately recognized Vegapunk as soon as Straw Hat Pirates reached the climate zone on this island. One Piece Fans had waited for years to see Dr. Vegapunk revealed and thankfully with Egghead Island that was finally done. Egghead Island was a difficult place for the Straw Hats to navigate, as they were faced with a great deal of trouble even before they arrived.

Straw Hats got involved with the plan to kill Vegapunk. Straw Hats engaged CP0 and the Seraphims in the battle to protect Vegapunk. The crew had to fight against monstrous enemies, but they managed to overcome them and take control of the situation.

Straw Hats: Time to Get Away

Oda cut off Egghead Island as soon as the identity and motivation of the traitor Vegapunk were revealed to fans. He then focused on the One Piece universe. The fans got to watch Kid and Law take on the powerful Emperors Shanks, and Blackbeard. Oda gave fans a glimpse of their power and then shifted his attention elsewhere.

Sabo, the man who found his way to the Kamabakka kingdom and returned to it, gave a proper flashback to the Reverie. Oda revealed to Sabo everything that happened during the Reverie, as well as the identities and powers of the Five Elders. He also concentrated on their powers and confirmed their status of Warrior Gods. Oda also explored a great deal of mythology surrounding Imu, who is the sovereign of the universe. Fans enjoyed the exploration of their connection with Lily. Oda also decided to take on the events that took place at the Pirate Island. Garp - a legend from the One Piece universe - decided to attack Pirate Island in order to rescue Koby and destroy Blackbeard Pirates. Garp, a legendary figure in the One Piece world, decided to attack the Pirate Island to rescue his protege, Koby, and destroy Blackbeard Pirates.

Return of the Straw Hat Pirates

Oda's chapters in which he shifted his attention away from The Straw Hat Pirates were a clear indication that the story had reached its end. Oda wanted to demonstrate that the world was more turbulent and tumultuous than ever.

All of this was done at the expense the Straw Hat Pirates. While fans appreciate the fact that the Straw Hat Pirates are no longer around, they still miss them. One Piece Chapter 1089 corrected this as the story returned to Egghead Island.

The first half of this chapter was devoted to global events, which included a 1-meter rise in sea level. However, the story quickly returned to Egghead Island. The fans saw the Marines prepare their siege on Future Island, and they also learned that there were around 100 ships outside Egghead. The 100 ships consisted of around 20 warships with around 9 Vice Admirals and one Admiral. One of the Five Elders Saint Jaygarcia was present on one ship. It is only a question of time until the Egghead Incident occurs.

The Marines' assault on Egghead Island was a very different experience from the inside. York explained to fans all of this through his Den Den Mushi phone call, in which he described the events on Egghead Island. York revealed at the end of his message that the Straw Hat Pirates had indeed taken over the situation on Egghead Island.

The last time the fans saw the Straw Hat Pirates, they were struggling with the Seraphims and Vegapunk. Fans can see that all of that has been forgotten and that the situation has been resolved. Seraphim don't seem to be an issue anymore, and York has also been captured. Dr. Vegapunk was successfully rescued, and now everyone is preparing to leave Egghead.

Straw Hat Pirates also know that Marines with 100 ships are at the gate and are a threat. The group is trying to escape from the Navy. However, as usual, things won't go according to their plan. They will have to engage them in combat. Fans were thrilled to see Straw Hat Pirates returning to the manga, after almost 4 months. The Egghead Arc will finally shed more light on both the Straw Hat Pirates as well as the Egghead Incident, which Oda has teased on numerous occasions that it could shake the world. The Straw Hats are back! Fans are both excited and anxious, but mostly happy that they have returned.
