The artwork of Mengo Yokoyari in the Oshi no Ko Manga is stunning. It leaves fans with panels that are memorable and have striking visuals.
Aka Akasaka, the manga's author, has confirmed that its end is near. Oshi No Ko recently reached its milestone of the 120th chapter. It balances its revenge story with a brutally real deep-dive in the entertainment industry, which has hooked fans. The manga is not only known for its well-written plot, but also for the striking visuals, which are beautifully drawn by Mengo Yokyari.
Oshi No Ko has a powerful emotional impact. Its visuals convey the struggles and triumphs the characters experience. The manga's most powerful moments are often remembered for their images. It doesn't matter if it's an emotional scene such as Ai's last moments or a haunting one like Ai giving Kana what she desperately wanted.
10. Ai says she loves her children
Ai's main struggle is that she has never felt love. Ai is unable to tell her twins that she loves them after giving birth to Aqua & Ruby. She is afraid of telling her kids that she loves them, and then realizing it was a lie.
Ai's time is over after being stabbed. Ai tells Aqua and Ruby she loves them for the very first time, before crying.
9. Ruby's Dark Star Awakening
In the early chapters of Oshi No Ko, Aqua is the one who takes revenge while Ruby concentrates her energies on becoming an idol, like Ai. The situation changes dramatically after Ruby and Akane find the corpse of Gorou, Aqua's former self before she was reborn.
Ruby, realizing the loss of her two most loved people, snaps. She is shown for the first ever with dark stars in her eyes. As she turns to the reader, Ruby's face is flooded with tears as she displays a haunting look.
8. Kana proclaims she's Aqua’s Star
Kana has an inferiority complex because her popularity and future prospects have declined since her youth. This prevents her from shining. Kana feels uncomfortable on stage, next to Mem-Cho and Ruby as the revived B Komachi. She wants someone to encourage her and give her support.
Aqua cuts through the crowd while waving Kana’s glowstick in one hand and Ruby’s in the opposite. Kana beams brightly and points out Aqua, telling him that she is going to be the star of his show.
7. Akane Acts as Ai
Akane's co-stars suggest that she act out a character in order to shield herself from online criticism. Akane asks Aqua about the type of girl that he prefers. After a little pestering, they learn of Aqua's love for Ai.
Akane's interpretation is incredibly accurate. She has done extensive research on Ai and her character. Akane's eyes sparkled with white stars when she appeared on set as Ai the following morning. Aqua's response is stunned silence, as both twins feel Ai's aura.
6. Aqua's Alternate Reality: Ai lives in Aqua
Aqua is taught the art of emotional acting during Oshi No Ko’s Tokyo Blade arc. Aqua uses his memories from his childhood to perform his role. He goes back to the moment Ai was killed. Aqua's performance is outstanding as Sayahime appears to be cut down in the play. He uses his memory of Ai’s death.
The manga shows Ai as she was at the moment when Sayahime died, with only her eyes open and still alive. A young Aqua cries and screams in hysteria, overcome with relief and heavy emotions after seeing his mother.
5. Ruby Dancing with Ai
Sarina, before being reincarnated into Ruby, tries to mimic Ai's dancing but is unable due to her health problems. Sarina falls on her face every time she tries to dance. If she's not prepared, she can injure herself. Ruby, even after being reincarnated is still afraid to move around freely because she is used to her body not doing what she wants.
Ruby is fortunate to have Ai by her side, guiding and supporting her. Ruby's mother helps her to free herself from the chains of her past, and she is able dance freely with Ai. Ruby's sparkling alongside her idol, who she spent all of her past life trying to emulate is made even better by the manga’s two-page spread.
4. Akane Invites Kana To Act All-Out
Kana and Akane, both talented actresses who were born the same year as each other, are rivals. They get to perform together during the Tokyo Blade arc. Kana will be supporting the protagonist of the play and Akane will be playing the antagonist.
Akane is frustrated by Kana's hesitation, as she wants to challenge Kana when both of them are at their best. Akane challenges Kana to match her performance, and the images of her dancing, slashing, and Sayahime as Sayahime, are stunning.
3. Aqua's Desire For Revenge Reignited
Aqua is mistaken in a small part of Oshi No Ko that Ai's murderer has already died. Accepting that he cannot get revenge on his own is hard, but it allows him to move forward for the first. Aqua's reluctance to face the truth doesn't last for long. He is forced to confront new information.
Aqua's revenge-driven desire is reignited by an intense expression and the dark stars in both of his eyes. Aqua has passed the point of no return. It's obvious that he is haunted and remorseful about his inability to save Ai.
2. Gorou's corpse is finally discovered
Gorou is killed on the day Ai has her baby, but his body is not discovered for 16 years. Ruby and Akane find his body after a crow snatches Ruby’s house key from her hands.
It is haunting to see the crow sitting beside Gorou's body, his lab coat, glasses, stethoscope and other items clearly visible but aged with time. Ruby's disbelief is evident in the pages that follow before she breaks down when she sees the Ai sticker that he began carrying to honor Sarina.
1. Akane Hugs Aqua on the Bridge
Aqua begins to feel guilty about his involvement with Akane. Aqua believes he is preventing someone like Akane, who has a bright future, from enjoying life. The two head back to the bridge where Aqua saved Akane from death to have a serious conversation.
Aqua apologizes and admits that she used Akane. Akane is aware and doesn't seem to be bothered. She hugs him tightly from behind and declares that she knows what a sweet, kind and protective person he is.
